Hi there, my name is Sam, and I'm a passionate photographer born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. My love for agriculture led me to pursue an education and career in the field. During the day, I manage cattle administration at a feedlot near Picture Butte, AB, where I find inspiration from the stunning landscapes, rural life, and my drives to work.
WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
Emberbees Photography is a name that holds a special place in my heart. It's a combination of two important elements in my life: my first dog, Ember, who I shared with my partner, and my close friend Abby Van Es, an Agriculture Sciences classmate who tragically passed away shortly after our graduation. The name serves as a tribute to these cherished memories and the lasting impact they have had on my life.
Through my photography, I strive to capture the beauty of everyday moments, the unique spirit of Western Canada, and the warmth of personal connections. My work reflects my passion for storytelling, my appreciation for the world around me, and my dedication to preserving precious memories.
